Tomato & cancer. The anti-oxidant components found in the tomatoes are capable of reducing the presence of cancer cells, especially in the prostate area.
In addition, the consumption of tomatoes can significantly reduce the risk of suffering from cardiovascular disorders, especially in female patients. Furthermore, due to its high content in water, the tomato moisturises skin and it is a good weapon to wage war against the signs of aging.
These conclusions have been exposed during a conference held in the University Complutense of Madrid, Spain, based on studies developed by a group of researchers from the University of Kyoto in Japan and the University of Harvard in the United States.
